I dream of visiting all 50 of our beautiful states before I turn 40. Now you know. Do you feel a little closer to me?
As of this past weekend I marked Idaho off the list, which gives me 17 more states to visit before the big 4-oh crap I’m 40! (No, I won’t tell you how many per year I will need to visit to make my goal, because then you would know how old I am!) When I started this quest I didn’t know how to knit, so you might wonder what this has to do with knitting. To that, all I can say is that now that I do know how to knit I pledge to knit and hopefully visit a yarn shop in the remaining 17 states.
I did knit in Idaho. I did not, however, visit a yarn shop. It wasn’t for lack of trying, but I was only in Idaho Falls for a single Saturday. I called up the LYS, Yarn Connection, and was informed that they aren’t open on Saturdays during the summer. Color me disappointed — which would be an interesting name for some sort of goth emo urban decay type yarn line color. I think it would be a blue grey shade with a twist of black. All the yarns would have a twist of black, but I digress.
Here it is, where I’ve been and where I’m going:
visited 33 states (66%)
